The Cork & Taste Society

The Cork & Taste Society is Carleton University’s dedicated wine society. We aim to enlighten students about the vast and complex world of wines through social and educational events.

Cork & Taste is open to all Carleton University students, from beginners to seasoned wine connoisseurs. Our mantra, in vino veritas – “in wine, there is truth”, is a Latin saying about inebriation just as much as it is about the pursuit of knowledge. The desire to learn is fundamental to our Society mandate.

Our goals at Cork & Taste are to:

• Encourage students to broaden their taste palates
• Invite expert knowledge to networking events
• Make learning about wine fun and gratifying
• Create an environment for aspiring wine connoisseurs
• Harbour a social community at Carleton University
